In March 2019 Klimatforum will take place in Stockholm. Organized by Naturvårdsverket (Environment Protection Agency) and Aktuell Hållbarhet it will focus on challenges and present opportunities that make a difference. MapLauncher will participate in one of the sessions around tools and models for climate work, by offering our perspective and experience about the power of Open Data for meeting the climate goals.
As the organizators mention in the program, “the time for heavy government reports and inaccessible data is over”. Our CEO, Tomer Shalit, together with Hanna Brolinson (Klimatpolitiska rådet), Anna Gustafsson (Göteborgsregionens kommunalförbund) and Darja Isaksson (Vinnova) will be one of the speakers showing how open data can help us make better decisions to reduce emissions and achieve climate goals at national and local levels. We will also reflect together upon the role of digitization for the transition.
